珠江水調查

珠江上游嚴重的石漠化生態問題，其危害程度和導致的嚴重后果甚至超過了以水土流失聞名世界的黃土高原。目前珠江流域石漠化、半石漠化面積達３.６２萬平方公里，而珠江流域流失的土壤幾乎是不可再生的。據調查，目前珠江城市飲用水源水質達標率偏低。隨經濟實力增強和人們觀念的轉變，發達地區不論民間和官方都越來越重視環保，開始限制或外遷高污染產業，以減輕對環境的壓力，而這些企業往往遷移到了珠江的上游；與此同時，欠發達地區近年工業發展迅速，很多地方形成水電、采礦、冶煉一條龍成為了珠江的主要殺手。珠江口已經成為我國近岸污染最嚴重的海域之一。據不完全統計，每年大量未經處理的生活污水、工業廢水直接或間接排入珠江口的污水超過20億噸，其中城鎮生活污水站70%，有3/4以上的城鎮生活污水未經處理就排入江中。若污染再不得到控制，將會爆發災害性的效應，摧毀整個珠江口海區的海洋生態系統。

The Pearl River Delta Economic Zone is one of the most dynamic economic zones in south China. Sustainable utilization of the water resources in the zone is an important issue. On the basis of analysis of the water environment status and pollution sources, it is suggested that domestic sewage is the primary cause of the pollution. The water resources and natural environment were badly affected due to the pollution. Lots of sewages for life and industry use went into The Pearl River. If the water pollution went on, the sea biogeocenose would be destroyed.
